Blush mosaic

Blush Mosaic transforms individually arranged glass tiles into a rhythmic composition of soft pink tones and shifting light. Each mosaic element is placed by hand, bringing subtle variations in colour and reflection together to form a unified surface. A pearlescent finish gives the glass an almost luminous quality, moving between delicate blush, silvery highlights and deeper pink reflections as light travels across the work.

Set on a solid wood panel, the precise geometry of the mosaic is softened by the changing character of its surface. Rather than presenting colour as something static, each glass tile responds individually to its surroundings, catching light at a different angle as the viewer moves past the work. This interaction between repetition, colour and pearlescent reflection creates a composition that appears ordered from a distance yet reveals continual variation up close.

Handcrafted in the Contemperart Atelier in Amsterdam, Blush Mosaic sits between contemporary wall art and sculptural object.
