Blue Dream with Gold Undertones

Blue Dream with Gold Undertones is suffused with colour, but much of its luminosity comes from what lies beneath. Created in spring 2023, Weinberger mixed gold undertones through many of the acrylic colours before applying them to the canvas in successive layers and varied gestures. Bright greens and salmon tones give the composition an especially optimistic character, while glimpses of gold introduce warmth and depth. The result feels expansive and buoyant—a painting less concerned with depicting a place than with capturing the sensation of emerging into light.
